Course Improvements

Some of the changes
you will see for our
INAUGURAL 2009 SEASON
have already been completed.
*First, let's start with the tee-areas.
We have added
NUMEROUS TEE-AREAS
to accommodate
men, ladies, and junior players.
All of the tee-areas have been
aerated, re-seeded, fertilized and top dressed.
*Second, our fairways will now have definition,
and we will have first and secondary rough.
We have purchased a special fairway mower to
STRIPE THE FAIRWAYS.
(This is the neat color patterns
you see in grass when mowed.)
Also, we purchased a new multipurpose mower to take care of different levels of rough area on the course.
*Third, we have EXPANDED OUR GREEN/TARGET AREAS
by adding aprons, collars, and run-offs to allow for a more country club type feel near the greens.
And speaking of which, we now double cut our greens
with atriplex mower that we purchased
to improve the greens
with regards to roll and speed.
*Fourth, at the SWING FOR LIFE GOLF ACADEMY
we have added
ANOTHER TEE-AREA and CHIPPING GREEN
(under construction) for use by our golf school.
*Fifth, (and this is a biggie!!) we are presently building a
PRACTICE PUTTING/CHIPPING GREEN
near our clubhouse entrance.
With good weather, we should have this
available at least for chipping by the spring and
hopefully putting by the summer!

... and now our CLUBHOUSE.
For those that have not visited Scott Greens in a while,
we now have a spacious clubhouse
(recently built 3 years ago) with

seating of 36 people inside and 12 outside on our covered deck area.
We also have an
OPEN BRICK PATIO AREA
adjacent to the clubhouse
to accommodate those who like to relax after a round and enjoy the sun.
We have our BBQ GRILL going in the evenings and
we invite you to stay and relax with us after your golf.
Another new little twist for our clubhouse is
our new 9 & DINE NITES.
That is 9 holes of golf and a buffet dinner afterward.
We will be using some of our favorite restaurants at various times throughout the season to supply us with some of their favorite dishes!!!

Lastly, with the economy the way it is, we hope with our membership pricing that you can have a very affordable place to golf and relax and be a club member.

Remember we have NO MONTHLY DUES and
NO ASSESSMENTS
like the big guys do.
Even if you do not become a club member, stop by and see the changes we have made and enjoy a relaxing round of golf in a family atmosphere.
